What is Live Streaming?

What is Live Streaming?

Live streaming refers to video people can watch online that is happening live (real time). Non-live media such as video-on-demand, vlogs, and YouTube videos are technically streamed, but not live streamed.

This could include:
Weddings
Birthdays
Sports events
Celebration of life

Who can see the stream?

Depending on the person sending the video EVERYONE or… only people with the link to the video are able to view the stream.

What do people need to view the live stream?

Your virtual guests need a device with an internet connection – e.g., a computer, cell phone, or tablet.

Can everyone watch a live stream?

Anyone with access to the internet can watch a live stream in real time.

So long as they have been sent the streaming link and have a device (e.g., Phone, computer, tablet) with an internet connection, family and friends anywhere in the world.

Could my friend hold up their phone and stream?

Yes, but the viewing experience would be less than ideal – especially the audio.

Sonic Lightning Entertainment uses several professional cameras and microphones to make sure your viewers have a quality experience.

What happens if the internet connection cuts out before the ceremony is over?

As a precaution, we make a recording of the ceremony at the same time we stream it.

If the internet goes down during your ceremony, or if the stream was unstable due to a slow connection, we will upload our recording as soon as we’re able to re-establish a connection.

Do I need to provide an internet connection?

A wired internet connection provided at your venue is ideal. However, Sonic Lightning Entertainment has a professional grade LTE modem that typically gets a strong enough signal.

This also can provide a signal at remote outside locations.

Is the video still available after the event?

Yes, the video will remain online for as long as you wish it to be.
